Expectations for Health Classes

 

Classroom Requirements:

  • Charged chrome book, paper, pen/pencil, 3-ring binder or folder to keep health materials in every day. Organize yourself however you organize yourself best!

 

SHOW RESPECT FOR YOURSELF, OTHERS AND PROPERTY

  • Speak and act with respect for others
  • Raise your hand and wait to be called on before you speak
  • Accept other people’s right to their opinion, support other people’s right to express their opinion HOWEVER
  • Degrading, derogatory comments about race, religion, sexuality, socio-economic status, political views etc. WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
  • Use acceptable classroom language
  • Accept responsibility and consequences of your actions

Contribute Positively to Class at ALL Times!

  • Make your presence benefit the class
  • Maintain a safe space to engage in the very sensitive and personal conversations that are a part of the topics that we will discuss over the course of the semester
  • Provide assistance to other students if you see they need help
  • Avoid interfering with other students education

Follow Class and School Rules

  • Comply with requests and directions of the teacher the first time you are asked
  • Maintain a clean and healthy classroom environment
  • No hoods on in class (hats and beanies are ok)
  • Unplug! When you enter class, please take your earbuds/headphones off and put away your cell phone. WAIT! I typically allow music from your device, but wait until I say that it is time
