Capital High School supports exchange opportunities for students. Students can select from a variety of countries and programs and may exchange for a year, semester or summer. All of the arrangements are the responsibility of the Capital student’s family.

Generally speaking, students receive credit for high school work abroad with a “P” grade for classes which meet for the same amount of time as would a class at Capital, i.e. 75 hours. Students are expected to complete U. S. History, 11thAmerican Literature and senior social studies in either summer school or upon their return if they choose to graduate with their class. Occasionally a student may choose to remain in high school for a longer period of time. It is important to work out the details with your counselor as early as possible so that all options may be considered.
