Parents on Deck in School (PODS) - Parents on Deck at School
Capital High School recognizes the importance of parents and guardians and the role they play in a successful educational experience for our students. We would like to invite parent/guardian volunteers – you - to be part of our Parents on Deck at School (PoDS) program.
The goal is to have more adult presence in our hallways to meet, greet and encourage students. The time commitment on your part would be very flexible, but we will focus on the key transition times: school day, lunch times and the end of the day. If you are interested in being a participant in the PoDS program, please submit a volunteer application on the district website. Here is the link to the online volunteer application, along with some other information about volunteering in the Olympia School
District: https://osd.wednet.edu/community/volunteer
We also ask that you call the school directly and let Suzanne or Val (our trusty office professionals) at 360-596-8000 and let them know you are interested. Once we have established a short list – we will arrange a meeting to discuss the particulars! This is a work in progress. We welcome your ideas and suggestions. Thank you for your willingness to engage and help Capital High School.
If you have any questions please contact assistant principal Doug Anderson, ([email protected]).
