Please help us promote this show and encourage students to engage with the Arts! There are some powerful themes in this show that speak to the times we are living in right now. If you are not familiar with Hadestown - it won 8 Tony Awards in 2019 including Best Musical. It is contemporary, relevant and really JAZZY!!

These themes provide an opportunity to support one another, embrace diversity, and prioritize mental and emotional health.

April is Autism Acceptance Month, a time to move from awareness to full acceptance and celebration of neurodiversity. It’s a reminder of the importance of fostering inclusive spaces where individuals with autism are respected and supported.

West Olympia Rotary
West Olympia Rotary looking for host families for an Inbound exchange student next school year. West Olympia Rotary has a history of sponsoring Capital HS inbound and outbound exchange students. This year the club is helping sponsor a girl from Brazil and will sponsor a CHS junior girl for exchange in Belgium next year. To complete the “exchange” our club needs to host a student from an overseas country (TBD). Usually we line up 3 families to host for 3-4 months each during the school year. This is an excellent opportunity for a family to learn about another culture, and for the incoming student to immerse themselves in the day to day life of an American family. Host families can be reassured that their family and the student will be supported by the Rotary Club. The student will receive a monthly stipend. According to US Dept of State regulations, host families cannot be paid to host.
Host families need to be vetted, so please contact one of the following Rotarians as soon as possible if interested.
If you think your family might be interested in hosting an inbound foreign exchange student for 3 months during the 2025-26 academic year, please contact Dirk Havlak at 360-791-2315, [email protected], or Attila Talaber at 360-791-3310, [email protected]
Upcoming Events
Upcoming Events are found in SchooLinks on the HOME DASHBOARD under EVENTS. Please have your students register for upcoming events or have them swing by the CCRC to ask how to get involved.
