Software Simple Description

Audacity is a program that is easy to use by anybody on any platform. You can record audio through a microphone or build a sound file using loops from the FreeSound Project.

Audacity supports many effects including fade in, fade out, change pitch, change intensity(loudness) for very simple and easy user editing. You can then save files as an mp3, and use it in a movie or release the audio file as an audio podcast.
