Senior Status Letters will be mailed home on Monday, September 12. In this notice, you will find information about what classes and/or graduation requirements need to be met in order to walk across the stage in June of 2009! Please read the information carefully. If you have any questions, call your student's counselor.
There will be a Senior Information Night on Monday, October 6 from 6:00 - 7:00p, both students and parents are encouraged to attend.
Many of you are beginning to gather materials for application packets – congratulations! Keep an eye on the deadlines for each school. If you haven’t started yet – please note the college checklist:
- Review your college choices with your counselor.
- Collect application materials and keep careful track of all due dates.
- Register of any ACT/SAT tests that you may still want to complete. Remember November is the only month that the Language Tests with Listening (SAT Subject tests) are offered.
- Send SAT/ACT scores online to meet application deadlines.
- Start drafting your essay. (Keep track of the word count if this is requirement.)
- Ask teachers to write recommendations. Give them 2-3 weeks.
- APPLY: you and one parent can sign up for PIN number at www.pin.ed.gov to file the FAFSA information online beginning January 1, 2009. Information about FAFSA will be reviewed at the Financial Aid Night in November. The date will be published when confirmed.
- Order your transcripts by going to the ASB Office, transcripts are $2.00/each. Bring the receipt to Mrs. Anderson, the registrar, and complete an order form. Please note: Students are responsible for picking up their transcripts and mailing them to the college(s). IF a Secondary School Report or counselor form is needed with the transcript -- note that on the order form so they are included in the same envelope.
