The meeting opened shortly after 7 p.m. and began with a tour of the Capital High Career Center. Ms. Garrett spoke briefly about the abundant resources available to help teens and families with career and college choices.

Nancy Faaren (nfaaren@osd.wednet.edu) gave a principalÕs report. Nancy said that absences during WASL testing are an ongoing concern. Math WASLÕs will be in April. Reports on Culminating Projects are underway. There still are a number of seniors who need to complete the Culminating Project requirements before graduation. Student led conferences will be in April. Nancy also said that the ASB game night was highly successful.

Cynthia Sanderson (cynthiasa@comcast.net) reported on the Palapalooza. This yearÕs event was very successful. Thank you, Cynthia, for all your work!

Ed reported that Debra Miles will be stepping down as Treasurer at the end of this year. Debra has been an awesome pillar of strength during this year and we are all hoping she will adopt a gaggle of teens and be back soon. Meanwhile, we need another person with bookkeeping abilities to take this position for next year. Contact Ed if you can assist.

Kathy Ketcher is coordinating the Staff luncheon for the last day of school. Two shifts of volunteers are needed. Taylor Shellfish provides clams, which makes this a much-anticipated event! Contact Kathy (kat_ketcher@yahoo.com) to assist.

Paddy OÕBrien (phone 866-9717) reported from the Site Council. She told us that there is on going work to improve the CHS website with current information. There is also work on family/teacher interfacing. kat_ketcher@yahoo.com)
