MAY 16, 2006

Present: Gail Gosney, Debby Pattin, Ed Thorpe, Carol Riley, Lynette Elze, Bette Hall, Vada Aldridge, Lynda Sulenes, Susan Staiert, Tammy Questi, Teri Poff, Peggy Martinez

Gail called the meeting to order at 7:00. Introductions of all present were made.

Debby presented the slate of candidates for next 2006-2007 CHSPO Officers. Vote was taken, and slate was approved. (See attached.) Still needed are: Class of 2010 Reps, Co-Chair for Class of 2008, Co-Chair for Directory (underclassman parent preferred), Staff Luncheon Chair, Co-Chair for Freshmen Orientation.

Arts Recognition Night is Wednesday, May 23rd at 6:30.
NOTE: Mailing labels are addressed to "Parent of" whereas invitations are written to students. Change invitations to "Your child is invited…"

Teacher/Staff Recognition Lunch is June 21st right after school (11:30ish). Theme is "Life's a Beach." AR Gail: Contact Tammy Questi for more decorations. Send out food donation and helper sign-up request via email.

2006 Grad Night has over 150 seniors signed up. Baccalaureate plans are going well. It's planned for June 10 at 2:00 at SPSCC PAC. Prom is June 3 at Indian Summer Golf Club.

All-school BBQ planned for Senior Assembly Day on June 9th. Junior class parents will help serve.

2007 Graduation is scheduled for Tues, June 19 at 7:00pm. Grad Night is being coordinated by Carol Riley.

No sophomore or freshman class reports.

Grocery Rebate income is down $1800 from same time last year, with $3350 from TOP Foods as of May 10, and $1944 from Safeway as of Feb. 28.
AR Grocery Rebate Committee: Work with Membership Chair to increase participation.

Ann Wessel reported that we have $3688, not including monies from the dances. Mr. Johnson and Michelle Anderson have not collected their awards yet. Student Recognition Awards have not been withdrawn yet.
AR Ann: Connect with Lisa Fenton to transfer dance money to CHSPO account. Meet with new Treasurer, Debra Miles.
AR Debby: Write check/transfer funds from Grocery Rebate account to CHSPO account.

Lynette Elze reported that the next newsletter work party is Friday, May 19.

Teri Poff reported the need for Open and Closed Campus feedback to be sent to Peter Rex.
