  1. Treasurer’s report: There is about 11 K in the account

  2. Class reports Senior Grad Nite is almost at the number planned for (125)

  3. School report The new chairs for School Liaison (Debby Pattin) will meet with Mrs. Poff on Wednesday June 15^th .

  4. Concerns: A major concern the parents have is the difficulty in getting “Occupational” credits or PE equivalences BEFORE SENIOR YEAR. The school should not plan to deal with these issues only in Senior year. The process should be made easier for Sophomores and Juniors, as well. Waiting until the last year is difficult, stressful, and potentially disastrous. The school has said that it does not have enough “certified teachers” to handle requests sooner than Senior year. Can some parents qualify as certified to help the school handle the requests and processes? Many kids are involved in sports outside of the school ¯ ie. Ski instructing, swim instructing, rowing (crew) ¯ these club sports and work should be made available to be used as equivalences. We need to make these processes easier for kids, NOT harder ¯ the purpose of education, afterall, is to have kids experience and achieve a wide variety of successes ¯ not to LIMIT them by general rules. Let us think outside of the box to accommodate the busy, hardworking students who try to do a lot but who cannot fit their lives and activities into the tight box now being set for them. Debbie Pattin asked that construction updates be made on the web through the summer. Since the school will be closed the entire month of July, it would be good if there were a way to contact key people.

  5. Staff Luncheon The parents are responsible for bringing nongreen salads and brownies. All other foods will be bought. We still need volunteers to bring salads.

  6. Betsy Pozzanghera and Bette Hall will be working together on Freshman Orientation plans this summer.

  7. Debbie Pattin went over the Bylaw changes to update the bylaws of our organization. Motion was made and seconded for approval of changes.
