The CHS Foundation was formed in 1985 and is a non-profit 501(C)-3 organization. A board of trustees governs the Foundation, which is comprised of community members, parents and administrative staff. Our primary mission is to raise and disburse funds for scholarships for graduating seniors.

Our purpose is to . . .

Recognize CHS students for their commitment to their education, school and community

Financially assist graduating seniors for college tuition or vocational/technical training.

At this present time, we give away approximately 20 Scholarships per year. The main Scholarship Selection and Criteria considered are the following: Students individual desire to further their education, their Academic excellence, their Community service, their CHS involvement, their Outstanding achievement in a particular discipline, and their Financial need.

Our student needs are as diverse as their dreams. Past recipients have attended a variety of schools from South Puget Sound Community College, Washington State University, to Yale.

There are various ways to Invest in Our Students' Future - Ways to Contribute

* Direct monetary contributions, including negotiable securities, can be made to the general fund or they may be made to honor specific individuals.

* Endowments can be established with a contribution of $5,000 or more.

* Bequests - You might want to consider naming the CHS Foundation as a beneficiary in your will for estate planning purposes.

* Support fund-raising activities such as buying an Engraved Paver honoring individual students and teachers.

* Service on the CHS Foundation Board - We always welcome new board members.

Funds for education are what we're all about. It's only with your contributions that we can provide this. By establishing these scholarships we recognize students for their accomplishments and encourage them as they continue to further their education.
