CHS BOOSTER CLUB

The CHS Booster Club meets at 6pm on the second Wednesday of each month in the conference room of the Capital Medical Center. Dues are $20 a year. The CHS Booster Club supports all WIAA activities, including sports, music, debate, and drama. The Booster’s main fundraiser is an auction that will be held February 9, 2008. CHS FOUNDATION

The CHS Foundation meets the second Wednesday of each month in the CHS counseling center conference room. The goal of the CHS Foundation is to provide money for Capital High graduates to continue their education. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of need, academics and activities. The Foundation makes thousands of dollars available to seniors each spring. A major fundraiser of the Foundation is the See’s chocolate sale. CHS PARENT ORGANIZATION

The CHS Parent Organization meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7p.m. in the school library. Membership is $20 per year. The Parent Organization exists to support students, staff, and families. The student in transition who suddenly needs school supplies, or the teacher who needs extra calculators on WASL testing day has the Parent Organization as a resource. The Parent Organization projects include class activities (such as the senior party), the Cougar Connection phone book, a staff appreciation luncheon, Arts Recognition night, Freshman Orientation, the school newsletter, and educational forums for parents. Parent Organization fundraisers include the Barnes & Noble Book Fair, two Father/Daughter dances, and the grocery rebate program.
